We envision an equitable sexual and reproductive health system that cares for the whole person with dignity and respect.

Provide uses these core values to ground, guide, and drive our work in partnership with health and social service providers to build a health system that, in a climate of diminishing access, is equipped to respond to women’s health care needs around abortion. These values are the cornerstone of our vision of a healthcare system that cares for the whole person, meets needs with dignity and respect, and where workers have the tools and support to offer the best care to those they serve.

our values

Worthiness

We honor people’s worth, including people whose beliefs and choices differ from our own, and we call on ourselves, on health and social service institutions, and on the people who make up these institutions to do the same through small and large acts that make a difference to those they serve.

Dignity & Respect

We believe in creating a healthcare system that honors each aspect of a person and their life and treats all people with compassion, dignity, and respect.

Responsiveness

We believe that our work must be responsive to the needs and systemic realities of workplaces and workers, both at Provide, and among our program partners.

Equity

We believe in acknowledging the intersections and structural inequities that shape the lives of providers, their clients, and communities and will continuously work toward equitable healthcare outcomes for all.

Accountability

We believe all institutions, including our own, must take responsibility for our actions and inactions, and how those decisions impact the people we serve.

Self-determination

We believe that all people should have the freedom and resources to make the decisions that are best for themselves and their communities.

Continuity

We believe in the power of an integrated system of care that incorporates a broad, flexible array of services and resources to support pregnant people and affirm their decisions.

Participation

We believe in the power of people and relationships to make positive change, and that everyone has a role to play in creating a world that honors each person’s fundamental worth.
