Shannon coordinates Provide’s Referrals Program within South Carolina since November 2015. Shannon is a professional actor, director, educator, and TEDx Presenter. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from UNC Greensboro and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Mississippi University for Women. Shannon is a member of Actor’s Equity Association, and a certified Hatha Yoga teacher. Shannon has 20 years of experience facilitating workshops, and directing/devising plays, musicals, and performative experiences for audiences of all ages. Shannon is a Joker (facilitator) for Theatre of the Oppressed (Augusto Boal) as well as a Board Member for the international nonprofit Pedagogy and Theatre of the Oppressed, Inc. Her work in theatre activism in South Carolina lead her out of Higher Ed (where she was for the last 10 years) and to this amazing opportunity with Provide. Shannon is the proud solo parent of one amazing little ninja, Zoe. Shannon and Zoe love to get into all sorts of shenanigans in their free time, mainly music, art, yoga, and dance.
