Monika Gilliard (she/her) cultivates the growth of the major donor program within Provide’s Fund Development department. As Major Gifts Officer, she acts as an ambassador for Provide within the community, working in conjunction with the Director of Development and other staff to represent the organization’s philanthropic interests with supporters throughout the US.

Monika has been in the field of advocacy for women and girls for over 25 years. A graduate of Virginia Union University via Washington, DC, she relocated to Columbia, South Carolina in 1999. In 2002, she founded a non-profit organization called Dedicated Individually to Valiantly Assist (D.I.V.A) Inc., focusing on prevention, intervention and education around domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse for girls and young women. Her passion and tenacity brought about significant change in the mindset of many advocates for the holistic health of women and girls in South Carolina. Monika is a member of and supports Women’s Rights & Empowerment Network (WREN) in South Carolina, Planned Parenthood, and the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. Monika spends her spare time volunteering with grassroots movements that mentor girls and young women. For fun, she enjoys line dancing, adult coloring, and writing poetry. She currently lives in Raleigh, North Carolina.
