Lydia Karch supports the Regional Director and implements Provide’s abortion referrals work within targeted systems in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Georgia. Lydia is a graduate of the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She has 10 years of experience working with non-profits in the fields of public health, sexual and reproductive health education, community organizing and outreach, and housing and homelessness. Prior to joining Provide, she served as Volunteer Coordinator for Habitat for Humanity, Rape and Sexual Assault Educator for Peer Health Exchange Boston, Competitive Bids Unit Intern for CARE USA, Outreach Team Member for the InvolveMENt Project, Community Organizer for WV FREE, and Program Manager for the Healthy Communities and Medical Respite projects at Hennepin County Medical Center. Lydia also volunteered as a MNsure Navigator with Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and was a founding member of the Abortion Assistance Lodging program with Pro-Choice Resources. She is passionate about ensuring access to quality health care for all people, which includes a full spectrum of reproductive health options. In her free time, Lydia enjoys nerdy feminist podcasts, reading YA fantasy novels, biking on city trails, and experimenting with new mason jar salad recipes in search of the perfect delicious meal to preparation time ratio.
