Liz Epperson, LCSW – Kentucky State Coordinator

Liz coordinates Provide’s Referrals Program within Kentucky. Liz received her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and Spanish from the University of Kentucky, where she also completed her Master of Social Work. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she has extensive experience working with immigrant and refugee communities and trauma survivors. Most recently, she worked as a mental health practitioner at a Title X Community Health Center where she helped integrate pregnancy referrals into her workplace. Prior to this, Liz worked at a rape crisis center as a counselor and advocate with survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and co-founded the Lexington Human Trafficking Task Force. She is passionate about ending violence against women and is on the training faculty of the Kentucky Coalition Against Domestic Violence, where she trains on trauma-informed care and the effects of trauma on children. Liz brings many connections throughout the state through her work as an adjunct faculty member in the UK College of Social Work, as well as great energy and passion to her work. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, Ellie, and her friends, collaborating with a friend on a social work podcast, traveling to new places, and not cooking.
