Jovanna Anzaldua, MPA – Strategic Engagement & Grants Manager

Jovanna Anzaldua carries out critical administrative and support tasks for the Deputy Director as well as other External Relations staff members to aid in planning, supporting, and implementing Fund Development and Communications.

Jovanna Anzaldua leads strategic engagement efforts, including network development; assists the External Relations team with donor communications and communications content development; and manages grant proposals and reporting. Jovanna is an Arizona native with a strong background in communications, program/project management, public policy and women’s health issues. Her passions include her family, food (both cooking and eating it), reproductive health/justice, and traveling. She is currently a board member for the Arizona Family Health Partnership and co-hosts a multimedia project called schmooze: lady connected, which highlights the often unseen work of amazing women. She also spends time working on campaigns, primarily with the goal of getting more Latina candidates elected into office.
